It is a bike ride over the rural, country roads of Middle Georgia; perfect for families and new cyclists, as well as experienced riders. Supported with MAPS, refreshment breaks, and local law enforcement. All roads are in very good condition and are flat to moderate rolling hills. The Metric 100 is a big loop with other routes branching off and heading back to the start. For overnight accommodations and other general info, contact the Cochran-Bleckley Chamber. Southeastern Cushman Club holds an annual meeting in Cochran each year in March. The SECC is a family oriented club that is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of vintage Cushman motor scooters. Stop by the Bleckley County Recreation Department for the Show Scooter Competition and Judging!               Let's Go to Cochran! Cushman Motor Scooters One of the most famous Cushmans was the model 53, a military model from the World War II era. It was designed to be dropped by parachute with Army Airborne troops, so the motor scooter became known as the Cushman Airborne. They were also used around military bases for messenger service. Twice a year we have the Bluegrass Festival in Cochran, Georgia. The Spring Bluegrass Festival takes place in May and the Fall Bluegrass festival will be in September!
